I'm going to be around that neck of the woods that weekend so I thought it would be rude to not stop off at the RTA gig at Junction 7 before heading home. I've never been before so was wondering if anyone knew how the venue is fixed for parking? I'm hoping it has some that is free and secure Wink

hey there - there is some parking on the premesis - but not a lot. There is also a few spaces opposite behind the pub.
It's kind of a small room for the actual gig - though a pretty kick ass venue becauase of the intimate size of it ! but that means space and parking is limited.

unfortunately - the venue is kind of just off a random roundabout which is maade up of a couple of pubs that the traffic goes round in a one way system.
the best thing you can probably do is park down one of the local streets and walk up - or get there earlyish. We haven't had a problem and there are usually a load of folk around if there is a gig on- if you go past the ropewalk pub, keeping it, and the police station, on your left, there is parking on the left and right of the road if you go straight on at the traffic lights - if you keep yourself within the vacinity of a restraunt called scruffy's and walk back up you shouldn't be too far away.

You may have noticed that theere is a police station acroos the road - so it should be ok.
If you are coming in on the main nottingham road then it is behind a big fancy dress shop with fancy lights - unfortunately you have to all the way down the hill and back up again the other side of the buildings to get to it.

Which area are you gonna be heading in from? ie - are you coming across the city centre - or in from the m1?

Good luck!

Indeed, this is a good word of warning, the car park is the size of a postage stamp... People have a tendency to block each others car's / Vans in...

A few years back 'certain' members of RTA & Earthtone9 were spotted gathered round a 'Mini' bouncing it out of the carpark... much to the owners dismay.... Lesson learnt, when you hear the DJ say over the mic "will the owner of (whatever car) Reg (etc)...take note!!! Rolling Eyes

cheers for the info folks! Smile

If the venue parkings so tight I think I may be better off on the street as I'm probably going to be in my estate which struggles to fit in a parking space! It doesn't help that I've only just got the damn thing and I can't park it for toffee.
