Hey!
Well, I just finished tracking my drums for our second album. Got a good foundation for the guitars and bass to lay their sonic tapestries from hell down to. I gotta say, the drums sound excellent! The Audix mics truly are the best at capturing the punch and tone of my kit! It's the first time I've really 'heard' my Premier Series kit I got last year & its the dogs gonads! After trying all my snares out, we eventually plumped for the Ahead snare drum.....again-outstanding drum!
Just after I finished the last track yesterday, we then started experimenting with the guitar sound and set up. Cab and mic placement etc....all very laborious but enjoyable all the same.
John & Steve will commence their schizophrenic shreddery this week!
Keep your eyes peeled for a 'dance off' between two key members of the band.........I'll say no more!
'Fight for your right to be shite in the night set the stage alight with all your might!'
etc......
