Hi Aynsley!!!
Have you got drum notes of RTA songs?? Or did you play without??? Because I try to controll my drumkit :wink: with getting lessons in and after your gig in London I´d like to play RTA songs but I´m NOT good enough to play without notes :cry:

Hello there Slaterfan-it was nice to meet you at last! Thanks a lot for coming to see us play!

I'm afraid I don't transcribe my drum parts for RTA songs.I basically listened to the ep a few times and just played it with the band when I first joined.As for new songs-when we jam in the rehearsal room,I just make it up as I go till something sticks.I like to compliment what the guitar is doing mainly,but I'll also use Leigh's vocals as a guage on where to place interesting accents. Do you read music? I can a little.If there is something I like the sound of on a record but can't figure it out easily,then I transcribe it. I did this recently with a couple of tricky parts on the new TOOL album-10000 Days. Other than that,I've never really relied on drum transcripts.

It was very nice to meet you too..Short but good...I am normally shy (don´t be laughin) but I "know" John from mailing so I had some points to talk with..That was the problem with you other guys...But the next time 8)
No problem about having no notes...I actually can´t read notes and I don´t think that I need it to learn drums :wink: when we buy a drumkit last summer..... but I have to... :? And it´s f....hard because of be concentrated what your hands and legs had to do AND look after the notes :twisted: but slowly it works....Yeah and I´m not a big musician so that I can transcrip what I hear :evil:
